Article Processing Charges

Starling Science Publications, as an open access group, have Article Publication Charge (APC) for all published articles. The processing fee, will be entailed on the approved articles for the publication, may be an institutional or individual funding.

All the publication charges (Editorial processing, Web Hosting or Website Accessibility, Indexing, Marketing, DOI Registration etc.) are included in The Article Publication Charge (APC). The journal ensures absolute open access for the articles. This access escalates the readership of the publication and hence sustainability of the journal manifolds.

The open access publication fee is specific for each journal. Please refer to 'Instructions to Authors' for detailed information about implacable fee for corresponding journal publication.

Which article types are published free of charge?

Editorial items (Editorials, Letters to the Editor, Corrections, Additions, Retractions and Book Reviews etc.) are published free of charge. Article processing charges (APC) are only applied to primary content: research articles, reviews and mini reviews, case reports, communications, short notes, etc.

Does Starling Science Publications offer any discounts on the article processing charges (APC)?

Starling Science Publications does not offer any discounts on its article processing charges (APC) for regular submissions. However, Starling Science Publications publishes selected articles invited by the Editorial Office for free. In some cases Starling Science Publications offers a discount to reviewers of some journals to thank them for their services or to previous authors to thank them for their loyalty.

Do I have to pay if my manuscript is rejected?

No. Starling Science Publications only sends the invoice for article processing charges (APC) if and once a manuscript is accepted for publication. The acceptance of a manuscript is based on the outcome of the peer-review procedure. The final decision as to whether a manuscript is accepted for publication or rejected will be taken by an external editor (usually the Editor-in-Chief of a journal or the Guest Editor of a special issue) based on scientific merit.

How do I pay?

Regarding forms of payment, payment can be made by any of the following methods:
1. Credit card - payment can be made online using a secure payment form as soon as the manuscript has been editorially accepted. We will we send a receipt by email once payment has been processed.
2. Wire payments - If you've paid by wire/bank transfer, it may take up to 2 weeks to be processed. As soon as the payment is received, it will be entered into the system and you will get a receipt via email.

We request that you evaluate a potential of a fee waiver/discount before submission, not after acceptance, by contacting us.

Article processing charges will not be refunded when articles are retracted as a result of author error or misconduct.

The amount of article processing charges (APC) for different journals is given in the table below. Usually the publication in the first volume of newly launched journal is free of charge.

**The article publishing charge (APC) will not be refunded after the accepted article is copyedited, or proofread, or published online, or retracted after publishing.

**Authors will not be charged with the publication fee if they are membership holders for the Journal. If Author’s institution or funders are membership holder of our Group, charge will be waived for the author.
